Dr. Aliya Rahemtulla

Dr. Aliya, MD is a former nurse and family physician turned holistic health guide, with extensive training in functional medicine, herbalism, Ayurveda, classical hatha yoga, permaculture, light & sound therapy, and the interconnectedness of body, mind, emotion, and energy. Her work bridges medical science with nature-based and Eastern traditions to help you understand the true roots of imbalance.

“We’ve strayed too far from nature and because we are nature, healing begins by reconnecting with ourselves.” In her approach, root-cause discovery grows from observing your patterns the same way we do in the natural environment: watching where there is excess, deficiency, stagnation, or depletion across the physical, emotional, and energetic layers of life. These foundations reveal where imbalance began and where your capacity to heal still lives.

She says curiosity is one of the greatest medicines we have. When we step out of old patterns and unconscious habits, and begin to look inward with conscious awareness, we gain the clarity needed to change how we eat, move, rest, breathe, relate, and live.

In her practice, Dr. Aliya guides on what needs to shift for healing, and also helps you understand the when, why, where, who, and how. This approach empowers you to move from fear and identifying with a diagnosis, to recognizing your own truth, agency, and biological wisdom.

In a world that encourages rigid, effort-heavy approaches to health, Dr. Aliya offers a different way forward: a balanced, intuitive, and grounding path that allows the system to soften, regulate, and repair. Because only in a state of internal balance can true healing take root.

Her work helps you move from overwhelm to empowerment, from dis-ease to ease, and ultimately, to feel at home in your body again.

Dr. Aliya currently works with men and women who struggle with chronic health conditions and are interested in a natural approach to wellbeing. Click here to join the community: aliyamd
